I recently purchased a AT&T motivate 2 from Walmart and switch the stems as usual and pass phones it's all I've done to and I'm trying to make a phone call and I was met with a automated recording that I needed to return it to the store that I purchased it from to finish activated and the help only online

We have no control or idea what Walmart has in stock in your particular location. If you're unhappy return the phone and try Target or Best Buy.

Thank you sir and I did just that which was by the way a horrible customer service experience by WalMart management ugghh! But anyway returned it and they gave me a new replacement phone (same phone model) and got it home charged it up and switched at@t some out and turned it on then also restarted it and IT DOES THE SAME THING! Same automated message saying I need to return it to.....so idk now ya know...

Someone at the store is not scanning out the purchase correctly. When this happens there's a point of purchase error in the phone will not function.
You don't have to exchange the phone, but you do have to take it back to the store and tell them to scan the phone out properly so that it shows as sold, and AT&T will allow it to be used. If the salesperson gives you a blank look, ask for a manager of the electronics department

Ok update now their saying that the whole line of phones just like the one I purchased is faulty so now inhave to go back again and choose a different phone...so my next question is I specifically got that phone cause I was wanting the 6.5 inch screen so if they don't have another within the price range in which I purchased that one can I get a lil better model even if it's higher or is that up to the store it's self?? Cause I mean for real I've been back there 3 times already with the same outcome ...anyway just curious and thank you guys for all the help yol have been greeeaaat
