First, you'll want to make sure that you meet these device unlock eligibility requirements:

• The wireless number assigned to the device must have had paid service for at least six months. 
• You must wait 48 hours after you submit a payment to submit your unlock request.
• You must submit your unlock request using the most recent version of the AT&T Device Unlock app.
• Lastly, be sure the device hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.

As long as your device has met these device unlock eligibility requirements, you can start your device unlock request.
