Where’s My Credit

I traded in three of my phones in January 2023 for three “FREE” iPhone 14s for me and my kids. It has been six months and I have not yet received a credit. I am told to continue to pay the full amount until the credit appears and yet, the bill that came in this week still did not have the credit. This is the second time this has happened with me having to go to the Better Business Burea a few years back for the same issue. I believe I will have to do the same this time.

To boot, my son damaged his phone and we used Asurian to get a replacement. We mailed the phone to AT&T using the label the guy who brought our phone gave us. Two months later I get an email saying haven’t received my phone. I called and had to wait on the phone 20 minutes to get through to someone but the call dropped. No one called me back. I’m pretty sure your phone company knows my number and could have returned my call as it was obviously a dropped call (possibly due to the poor service you provide).

I am sick of being played around by your customer service people who never resolve any issue I bring up. I am sick of falling for your “free phone with trade in scams.” I don’t have time to call AT&T every month because you cannot follow through. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed at how you treat your customers.

You're posting here is if you're speaking directly to AT&T and you aren't. The community is just that, it's a community of other customers, primarily anyway. You may get a response from ATT help, eventually..

As for what happened to your trade-in credits. Did you follow the directions and send your phones to the correct place?

Phones that were 100% paid off had to be mailed to Hila mobile in Tennessee. Phones that were being allowed early upgrade get mailed back to AT&T. In both cases, instructions are included on how to package your phone individually with the correct label. The only thing in the directions that I disagree with is you should never just drop your phone off anywhere. You should always take your phone to the post office hand it over the counter and get a counter receipt. That counter receipt has your tracking number on it which is good on both the postal service website and newgistics website.

You should always track your phone.

I know I am posting to a forum not to AT&T. I want others to know about this.

I traded the phones in at the store.

I have a receipt from the post office for the phone my son damaged and used the only label the gentlemen who showed up to my house gave me and followed the directions.

Don’t assume people are dumb. Maybe assume the the company is at fault.

The very last part of my post was you should always track your phone. Since you did have a counter receipt, did you track your device?

Not finding what you're looking for?
