Switching from an iPhone 5 to a Samsung Galaxy S5

So my only concern is the sim cards. I know the iPhone uses a nano sim and the Galaxy uses a micro sim, when I buy the Galaxy will I have to get a different phone number because it will have a different sim card or can my phone number be transfered over to the new card?

Hello, Dougasaurus!

Thanks for posting.

If you are upgrading to the Galaxy in-store, the rep will make sure to activate a new SIM card with your existing phone number.

If you upgrade online, you will select your line with your phone number, and the system should recognize that you need a different SIM; you should receive it in the package with your new device. Once you follow the steps for activating your new device, your old number will automatically be activated on the new SIM.

Let me know if that answers your question!
