Sim card
I have a new iPhone 12 Pro Max but the SIM card from my iPhone 8 Plus isn't fit in the iPhone 12 Pro Max do I need to make an appointment to come in to get a new SIM card for iPhone 12 Pro Max do I need to buy one or free with no charges?

If it is an AT&T phone I would have expected a mini sim card to have been included with the phone. If not you should have no problem getting one, no fee, from the AT&T store.

It should fit. Every iPhone since the iPhone 5 has taken a micro sim. The 8 and 12 use the same size, you must be putting it in wrong.
