Samsung Galaxy S6 - Marshmallow update in India
Hi,
My friend recently bought a Galaxy S6, which is a factory unlocked GSM. The device is currently on 5.1.1, and the AT&T server keeps saying that the software is up to date.
I'm currently in India, can someone please help me in updating the software to Marshmallow.?
Thanks in advance.

To be blunt dont buy a US carrier brand phone to use in another country if you want updates. In your case you will have to google how to update your phone as no one here can help you. The official stance is att will not update phones not connected to there network.

Hello @ysuman89!
We understand that this is a highly anticipated update with a lot of great features. We also understand that the wait has been more than previous updates. We thank you for your patience and are working on a way to make sure this process is a lot smoother and transparent in the future.
You can verify the latest software update available for your device available from our Device Support page. I see here the latest update is the UCS4CPG1 build, which brings your device up to Android version 6.0.1. Our updates go out over our network. In order to verify eligibility the device must have an AT&T SIM card and be connected to our network. After an update is identified you can download the update over Wi-Fi.
Thank you for forming part of the AT&T family

Thanks for your reply.
However, would like to know if there is any other way that I can update the
software, as I do not have an AT&T sim card in India.
Regards,
Suman
