Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra $1000 trade-in credit eligibility

I may just be reading too much into the fine print, but I'm a little confused about the eligibility for this $1000 trade-in credit. It says that the offer requires an eligible unlimited plan; however, under "see offer details" and "how to redeem smartphone offer", it says you must add a new line or upgrade an existing one.

I am already on an unlimited plan, so am I eligible for the offer, or is it only for new lines and new upgrades? Thank you!

What you are describing is a new upgrade. Anytime you buy a phone it is an upgrade. That's why it says 'both new and existing customers' rather than only new customers.  And says 'both new lines and upgrades' rather than only new lines.

If you go through the process of upgrading your phone online signed into your AT&T account it will confirm whether or not you are on a compatible plan and are upgrading and eligible phone, thus...

@formerlyknownas Aaaaah, see, I thought "upgrade" was referring to the line, like, plan, not the phone, lol. I appreciate your clarification and included photos! :)

I'm not able to sign into the AT&T account, myself, to get a good look at things, as I'm on a family member's account and don't have the info, but that definitely would have made things clearer. 😅
