Not Receiving Trade in Value

Hello! I traded in my IPhone 11 Pro for the Samsung Z flip in store when they had the promo stating 1000$ off Samsung Z Flip with trade in. They took my old phone and sent it out and shipped me the new phone. I never got credit for my iPhone being shipped in and it’s been almost a year now. I still have my Z-flip and have been apparently paying the installment plans for the 36 months process without noticing. The Z-Flip was only like 1000 dollars and I remember paying like 84 dollars that day when doing the trade in.

Hello - I am dealing with a similar situation, there's A LOT of this out there sadly. After posting this issue over a year ago I had an @ATTHELP team member reach out to me and made my post and our conversation private at that time. They were very helpful (very impressed with the service at that time!) and after I provided them with all the documentation they required they replied that yes, indeed I was correct and will now be receiving the full trade-in credit I expected ($800)....well guess what - I have NEVER received this full credit (surprise, surprise). I am still only receiving $350 - which is incorrect and this was proven and stated by @atthelp that I should be receiving $800 credit total (not $350). After posting several times and asking for help to still resolve this issue - no one from @atthelp responds. They will not even respond to my original thread post any longer - it is marked 'private' but I am sure they can see my replies - as I am tagging them directly. It is upsetting, I will be filing a complaint with BBB (suggest you look into the same) and I share with anyone I can to stay away from AT&T's trade in the program because it's a recipe for disappointment and a license to be scammed.

@adp1177  make your own thread.  It's poor etiquette to hop on someone else's thread and hijack it for your own issue.

@RedKane

Are you on a required, eligible unlimited data plan?

Do you have the tracking information for sending your old phone into hyla Mobile in tennessee?

@formerlyknownas - thanks for your ever-so-kind advice - however, that is not at all what I was doing, I am simply relating to the poster's situation - sharing what I have experienced, as I have seen many others do on numerous similar posts and clearly letting them know what I have been thru in case it helps them navigate their unfortunate AT&T experience. Have the best day that you deserve.

@formalyknownas I have the email showing the order number for the Z flip and the 84 dollars I paid but I don’t see anything about the trade in.

@adp1177 thanks for the reply and suggestions. I’ll definitely looking into it more if I don’t get help at the basic level

@RedKane

You indicated you handed over your old phone in an AT&T store. You should have received a receipt indicating the make and model you were trading in. If you were not given a receipt, there is no record of the trade in having been made.

    I don't know if this has been mentioned before but you should have gone back to the store and ask some questions about what they did with your old phone and why you didn't get a receipt.
