Lg g8 att unlocked

Hi, so I have an I like LG G8 and I'm currency in Ukraine one of my friends brought it from us and it is unlocked, Im currently using it on kievstar which is a SIM card operator in Ukraine,I reckon one of these ones that if we want to update it to the Android 10 it is rolling out I should use an AT&t SIM card to be able to update it, is it anyway to do it without it or can I flash an unlocked firmware on the device?

You can do whatever you want with a device, it's yours. What you cannot do is get any updates directly from AT&T

I thought it was still under Att terms which is you can not update your device OA unless you use an att simcard on the device (particularly Lg G8) and it doesn't allow you to (Edited per community guidelines) or install custom roms because it was att based, so in this case you mean I can download and kdz firmware and just normally flash it on my phone like it was unlocked form the first is it correct?

This isn't chat.

As I said you can do whatever you want with the device, if you want to (Edited per community guidelines) it go ahead. AT&T is not responsible if it turns out badly

The only way to get an OTA AT&T branded update is to be in the United States and using an AT&T SIM card. Since I assume this is not going to be an option for you, you're on your own.
