Don’t buy from Sam’s Clubs
Walked into a Sam’s club and sales rep asked what I paid for cell service, I said just under 200 for 4 phones. He said, what if I can get you 4 new iPhone 11 Pro’s for free and cut your bill to 160 by switching over to Att&t. I said what’s the catch, he says just port over your lines and trade in your current phones and you’ll get the new phones for free credited to your account. He said the first two bills will be high and the third and fourth would be zero once the credits kick in. So I told him I could only switch 3 over and kept 1 line with Verizon. So we got the port pins from Verizon and switched 3 lines. I had to put over 200 bucks down at the store for the phones. He said to ship the trade ins back in the box our new phones come in with the provided label within 2 weeks. We did that, sent all 3 iPhone trades to att. First bill comes over 400 bucks, second almost 300, third still 300, no credits for porting the lines from Verizon and no trade credit. One rep said they don’t kn ow where the phones are , one said damaged, but I never received anything about the phones once they got sent off. 2 weeks after I received my new phones I get an email saying here’s your tracking label information to print to send in trades , we already sent them back with the provided labels in the new phone box like we were told. I think the trades went to the place our new phones came from, regardless att has them and they had return address’s on them to send back if that was a problem so we can send to the right place. We called and told att about this and they said don’t worry they have the phones and would send them to the right place. Att&t Rep on the phone tells us Sam’s club reps don’t work at att and lie, there was never a promotion to switch to Att&t from Verizon and our 3 iPhones are worth 55 bucks and that there is no port credits for switching. Makes sense for me to switch from 4 lines at 198 Verizon to 3 for 288 at att and give you my perfectly working phones for nothing. Also the gift card I was supposed to get I didn’t , and the discount for my place of employment 20 percent I’m still waiting on. What a headache, never trust the people in the Sam’s clubs.

I completely agree. Two weeks of stress and "disconnections" later and I still don't have a phone or svc and am locked out by my svc provider as well.

I just fell for this “deal” but only have one phone shipped, which is unopened. I’m going to try to cancel! Nothing opened or activated yet!

I had the EXACT same experience. Same intro and everything. Except my first bill was almost $500.00 and was told when I called them that the charges would be credited to my account and that it might take a few billing cycles for them to process my trades. THEY LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not buy cellular from Sam's Club. Was told the Android phones would be free with any Android traded devices. (One device I traded in was fairly new). And that my iPhone would be free for changing from Verizon to AT&T. Sales rep said "no need to return the iPhone however simply return the Android devices only using the supplied shipping label in the original box." I'm glad that I took a picture of the shipping label because they said that they never received them but tracking proves that they did. Then AT&T wanted me to get the IMEI numbers for both of the "missing" phones so they could issue a credit for the devices. It is so hard to do especially when your Verizon account has been closed out!!! What a nightmare!!!!! AT&T said they needed the IMEI numbers so they could locate the devices but I believe they just wanted to make me jump through more hoops in hopes that I will give up. I have been going through this for a year now because I have a job and can not stay on hold and tossed around in their phone system all day like I did yesterday. I have attempted to get this resolved several times over the past year, but just get passed on to the next rep or my call just mysteriously gets dropped then you have to start all over. So I decided to take a day off work to get what I am owed. What a nightmare!!!!! To get any assistance from Verizon you need to provide a phone number affiliated with the account but it is no longer recognized in the Verizon system because it was switched to AT&T. I told AT&T that I was having a difficult time getting the numbers and they suggested that I visit a Verizon store in person (which could not assist). However, after numerous hours and phone calls, finally I was able to get the numbers that I needed to provide to AT&T. After all the time, money and energy I have spent it looks like I'll still be paying close to $3000.00 for 3 phones and they are only willing to give me a total of $100.00 account credit. I also never received the gift card. IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that's the problem with the AT&T Authorized Resellers. They are not AT&T employees but independently owned and operated businesses who resell AT&T goods and services. They will do just about anything to make a sale. Unfortunately, AT&T will only honor what is on their website, so if the Sam's Club, or whomever offers a deal that sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It's always best to check the AT&T website to see if the deal offered by the reseller is true or not.

***ATTENTION REAL SAM'S CLUB AT&T AUTHORIZED DEALER HERE***
I currently work in Sam's Club and sell AT&T and am going to correct the misinformation that has been provided here and am happy to answer any questions anyone might have.
First things first, it is not a scam! To think that one of the biggest companies in the world in Sam's Club would jeopardize their reputation for a few cell phone plans is flat out stupid. Especially in today's competitive climate. Now, that's not to say that the customer wasn't set up with the proper expectations. That is totally possible and from what I'm reading seems to be the case for a lot of people so I'll explain what the deal is, how it works, and when the deal kicks in.
Port in Promo:
For being a Sam's Club member, you receive a $250 port in credit ($10 off your bill for 25 months months) for each line. Port in meaning you're from another carrier and your transfer your number over to AT&T.
Trade-in Offer:
Trade in offers change all the time, so because the iPhone 13 is being launched, I'll use the current promo as an example. Let's say you're with T-Mobile and you have an iPhone 11 with no cracks and in working condition, you get a trade-in value of $1,000 in bill credits towards an iPhone 13 pro and iPhone 13 pro MAX. Now check this out! If you got 4 NEW iPhone 13 Pro's it's only $100 a month including unlimited data, talk, text! And yes, that's phones and service included! So where's the mix up and what are you guys missing?
***PAY ATTENTION***
With 4 lines on your plan you would normally pay $140 for service (unlimited talk, text, data) and $27.77 per iPhone FOR 36 months if you exercised your option to finance at 0% (iPhone 13 pro is $999.99).
So that's $27.77 × 4 = $111.11 a month for 4 iphone 13 Pro's + $140 for 4 lines of service = $251
BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE!
Every carrier offers an activation fee per line and AT&T is no different. The fee is $30. So $30 × 4 is $120 + 251 now we are at $371. Depending on when you purchased your phone you can be pro rated and billed accordingly making it higher.
This is why your first bill is so high!
***THE GOOD NEWS***
You get $10 off each line for 25 months so that makes your plan go from $140 to $100. In addition, you get $1,000 in trade-in credits so that makes every iPhone 13 Pro essentially free.
What that means is you get 4 brand new iPhone 13 Pro's and unlimited talk, text, and data for ONLY $100!!!
***EXPECTATIONS***
However, AND THIS IS WHERE PEOPLE GET LOST, it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles for credits to appear.
***BENEFITS OF BUYING IN SAM'S CLUB***
You get $30 activation fee for each line waived but it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles to appear.
You get $10 off per line for 25 months but it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles to appear
You get $1,000 in trade-in credit for each phone but it takes 2 to 3 billing cycles to appear.
***THE BOTTOM LINE***
If you are willing to pay the high up-front cost to gain the long term savings, it is well worth it in the end. But if you are living check to check and are expecting the quoted price to take effect on your first bill, THIS OFFER IS NOT FOR YOU.
But if you were not educated on when the credits will appear I understand your frustration and empathize with your situation. That falls on the sales person....
HOWEVER, that does not mean the deal is a scam and/ or not legit. Trust me, Sam's Club has a lot more to lose than you and I when it comes to their reputation and cannot afford to be affiliated with anything non-legit. Walmart share holders would not take too kindly to this.
Any questions you might have feel free to ask!

You are incorrect about most of this because all of us were told one thing and then it did not happen. I am a very intelligent person, and I know what I was told by the rep. I even had it written down but when I received my bill it was entirely different. I surely feel it is a scam, and you cannot tell those of us who went through all the headache anything different. It took calling the corporate office at Sam’s to try to get it straight. Still don’t know for sure if it is fixed. You are trying to justify all the lies that we were told and you simply cannot not do this . You were not there as we were being told these things. It caused a lot of stress and I would never go with AT&T again. As soon as my contract is out I will go back to the company that I never had one problem with.

@Unc1team Keep in mind that AT&T will honor all promos and deals listed on their website. What a Reseller promises or sells you is not valid if not listed on AT&T. Unfortunately AT&T has no control over what the independent resellers promise a customer to make a sale.
Some resellers are honorable, most aren't in my experience. They are encouraged by their managers to make sales, period.
