Cannot track trade in
I bought a new phone and once set up I returned my old phone to the ATT store for trade in. They gave me a receipt. To get the status your site requires a confirmation number. My receipt doesn’t show one. What do I do?

Just hold on to your receipt. You will not have a tracking number when you trade in directly in the store. That receipt is the guarantee that you did indeed trade in a phone and per the receipt it qualified based on its description.
If you don't see credits in 3 months, file a Better Business Bureau complaint. The complaint is forwarded back to AT&T upper management and someone will contact you. And then you can provide them with the information on that receipt. You might want to take a picture of the receipt just to be extra safe

After I traded in the phone at the store, I received the materials to ship it back and there is a confirmation number in there. I assume that only works if I had mailed in the phone?

Hello grubere, we're here to help with your trade-in.
We understand the trade in process can be confusing. You can use the confirmation number to check the status of a trade in. Keep in my mind it take 2-3 billing cycles for the trade in credits to start.
Please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions or concerns.

ATT help…..can you go back and actually read my post? Or are you a bot? Your answer does not address my question at all.

The website requires the confirmation number which is the invoice number. The invoice number IS written on the receipt. If you don't have it you can call the tradein department and provide them with the relevant phone number that you did the tradein with and they will put it up and provide you with the invoice number which again, is the confirmation number

I tried that and it said no record found. If I try the one on the shipping label it says label created. But I didn’t ship it. I guess ill
have to call them.
