How do I know if max is free in my service?

If you log into your account, go to the customer service summary, it should give the details of what is included with your plan.
If you are relatively new customer in the past 2 years on the unlimited premium plan, you do not have HBO Max.
The last plan to have HBO included was the Elite plan. When the elite plan changed to the premium plan HBO was dropped as one of the perks
