AT&T Trade in promotion - stuck/lost/stolen?

AT&T Help,

Hi there. So i traded my previous phone for the new iphone using the running $1000 promotion.

I sent my phone back to the La Vergne site (i see a lot of complaints/scam notices on here for that site). This was sent using the AT&T box, with padding etc via paid for USPS service. This was shipped out on 9/19/22. I have been following the tracking on USPS and it remains in "arriving late, on its way" for about a week now. I am concerned that this item is lost/stolen etc. Even if it does reach La Vergne, by the comments and posts on this forum it sounds like it may as well just be stolen or "scam destroyed".

How can i resolve this matter? I have opened a ticket with USPS as from their perspective it still says its with them. I would imagine (without putting words into your mouth) that you will just say "we cant do anything until USPS delivers the item" - that makes sense, but this does not seem to be heading in a good direction right now. No? Is there anything that can also be done on AT&T side, as its being shipped via AT&T pre-paid label etc.. and i would think that again from all the bad posts here, you would be familiar with the process at least.

Please help AT&T, you are my only hope...

sincerely,

Daniel
