Accepted IDs for newcomers for trade-in and purchase a phone
Hi,
My husband and I have recently moved to the US. I have recently gotten my social security card. Is it an acceptable ID that I can present for trade-in and buying a new phone from AT&T?

You need a state issued PHOTO ID or a Passport

I had just ordered a brand new Doogee S51 smartphone, spent a lot, since I had a stroke and live on $940 month. Go to AT&T and the puts a new sim card in it. No phone #. So, now, I'm (Edited per community guidelines). Verizon had taken over at straight talk and shut my phone off...just outta the blue. Well, I don't get Verizon. Period. So, I'm told to go to Walmart and buy a cheap phone, it has to say "AT&T". So I did. The guy at the AT&T store, put the sim card in, and away I go. (Edited per community guidelines), because I hadn't had a phone for weeks. Drive 35 miles back to my house, and the phone was a piece of trash. It was so terrible, I couldn't even move it. Well, it broke, imagine that.. motivAte 3 was the name. So I took the SIM card out, and stuck it my Doogee S31, andya know, it works. It gets calls,texts, everything. My number came up immediately. So I went to register it with AT&T. They said nope...you know what I said. .. anyway the lady tells me that my number, that they gave me, belongs to Dishnetwork... And insists I call em... which I Did.
This is a lesson for everyone... You can't get everything from a computer. Which I told her. Now, if anyone has the balls to Shut my phone off because I took advantage...YaYaDa...try walking in my shoes. That's DOOGEE S51 and my name is Michael. Run your tests...and put the phone on

I don't need to read past the first two sentences. That brand, Doogee, does not work on the USA. It is not voice compatible with any of the networks because they have all shut off 3G service.
The motivate 3 is a cheap Android phone. If it's defective return it and get a replacement. You can return defective Goods within 14 days of purchase for an even exchange which means another motivate.
The Doogee will not continue working. If you purchase that phone off Amazon and the seller claimed it would work on AT&T they lied to you. It will not work on any us carrier.
