How to Uninstall Digital Life
I just bought a home that has an ATT Digital Life security system installed. The account is not active, and I cannot afford to have the package. The front door has a keyless, keypad entry. It does not work. There is also an outside camera. All of the doors and windows have sensors, and the keypad/control arms itself randomly. Are there any instructions as to how to remove all of this equipment? If I just start removing sensors, will it set the alarm off?

I had to do the same thing. 😞 It was pretty easy to do but where they anchored the systems have to be patched. The system is NOT something you take with you, despite what AT&T says. The customer service on this is inexcusably terrible.

This is an old thread but seems to be the right group to answer this:
I also bought a house with a DLC-100 ATT Digital Life system installed and I am not going to use it so I am going to remove. They had many cameras also installed and I am trying to trace all the CAT5 that is installed in the house. I cant find a switch or anything and it seems like the bundle of cat 5 runs together in the basement near that DLC-100 but all the lines are just spliced together. Is that common practice in installing a digital life system?

I am not sure of the specifics regarding the installation because each install has its own special circumstances. I can tell you that our installers follow strict industry-standard install guidelines. Also, our cameras are Wi-Fi compatible so most of them would not have Cat-5 cables run to them unless there was an issue with Wi-Fi connectivity. We also are not sure what type of modifications the homeowner may have made.

I have having this same issue now 2 years later, looks like AT&T never changed their policy. Bought a home with a full system and in order to activate we have to start from scratch. Totally ridiculous.

Does ATT DigitalLife offer a transfer of responsibility (change name and responsibility) for a current owner to the new owner for continuous service like they do with other ATT products??
