Att digital life security

Is there a reason why att is not investing more into this service?  They used to have the best system out there. Best automations. Now you can’t even get a smoke alarm?  (Edited per community guidelines) I’ve been with them for 7 years and feels like the service is just dying away.

I believe we are all eagerly awaiting a response regarding the future of Digital Life.  As I complain to AT&T Wireless regarding slow 5G speeds, I am consistently told 5G speeds will improve once AT&T shuts down its 3G network.

The problem with shutting down the 3G network is - Digital Life currently operates on this network.  There have been a few responses via other threads which have suggested Digital Life will be communicating with its customers soon.

After waiting so long for a Digital Life doorbell that has yet to materialize, earlier this week I installed the Logitech Circle View doorbell camera and its amazing.  The night vision performance is leaps and bounds over my Digital Life exterior cameras.  I have since swapped out one of my interior Digital Life cameras with the Logitech Circle view camera.

I am now interested in swapping out more of my Digital Life accessories with items that work with HomeKit.  The only downside is, the cost!  I spent hundreds of dollars for my Digital Life system to include interior/exterior cameras, thermostats, light controller switches, door locks, etc.  Sadly, none of these items are compatible with other systems.

@jbeezely1  Hello. I responded to your other post. I was able to locate your account based off of the email address that you used for the forum. Your current smoke detector is showing online and 90% for the batteries. Are you having an issue with it?

seems it was the carbon monoxide sensor...not the smoke sensor.  a replacement has been sent.  but it still brings up the issue with the smoke sensor.  when that does require replacement, is ATT still in the business of smoke detection?

its less of an immediate answer.  but a long term one.  I would like to continue to add more automation to my home.  however, if ATT plans on no longer providing these things...what's the point of staying with ATT?

@jbeezely  Hello again. We do not provide smoke detectors to new customers and we do have support for existing customers for them.  Also, we are still providing/selling  our automation devices.

Thanks for the response.  And  I can sense the appropriateness of your response.

Really wish AT&T breathed new life into their Digital Life Security Life offering.  As @j.holmes indicated, we all have spent significant dollars into this offering.  Personally, over $3K in automation tied to AT&T.  Hoping to get a couple more years out of this before they kill the program.  Thanks.

Wondering why I keep getting notifications that there are new posts on this thread, but when I come to see them, there’s no new posts... Odd.

jbeezely, it seems that you received an answer to your question a while ago about smoke detectors and you asked if you could share it publicly.  Can you please share the answer with me privately? I would do anything to learn more information and to learn what you learned, even though it was a while ago.
