Used Netgear aircard 797s - can't log into attwifimanager or reset
Bought used at&t Netgear aircard 797s and can't log into attwifimanager - tried using default password of attadmin. Tried to factory reset by holding down the power button and that doesn't work either. I know the ability to reset the hotspot by holding down the power button can be disabled in attwifimanager settings and it appears that's what has happened with this device.
Contacted the seller and they were no help. I can't believe the admin of this hotspot can so easily become unusable!
Is there any other way to reset this device so attwifimanager can be accessed???

Yes, there is another way to reset your Netgear Aircard 797S to factory defaults, even if the ability to reset the hotspot by holding down the power button has been disabled in the AT&T Wi-Fi Manager settings.
Make sure you are using android devices.
To do this, you will need to use a computer with a web browser.
Connect your computer to the Aircard 797S using a Wi-Fi connection or a USB cable.
Open a web browser and go to the following address:
http://192.168.1.1
You will be prompted to enter a username and password. The default username is admin and the default password is attdmin.
If you have changed the username or password, enter the new credentials.
Click the Login button.
Once you are logged in, you will be able to access the Aircard 797S's administration console.
To reset the Aircard 797S to factory defaults, click the Administration tab and then click the Restore to Factory Defaults button.
Click the Restore button to confirm the reset.
The Aircard 797S will restart and will be restored to factory defaults.
Once the Aircard 797S has restarted, you should be able to log in to the AT&T Wi-Fi Manager using the default username and password.

I tried this, but seems the previous owner also changed the password! The device was bought as a lot from a school so no way to find out what the password was changed to. So completely stuck due to unknown password and power button reset disabled. Ended up returning the device and bought one that was guaranteed to be factory reset. Only way to solve problem!
