Upgrading a phone on a business account

Trying to do a phone upgrade and keep getting an error message "Uh oh something is not right - please call us at xxxxxxxxxx) when I try and select the phone I want.  Well I don't want to call them because honestly it is so time consuming to deal with them and usually they move me around to AT LEAST three different people before anyone has a clue what is going on and even then things dont get resolved (I've had a billing issue on the account for six months and have called at least 5 times).  I was told to try deleting cookies and browsing history which I have done on two seperate browser and it still doesn't work.  Any ideas?

Is it possible that you're billing issues have your account listed as "not in good standing"?   That could prevent upgrade.

You do know you don't have to buy a phone from AT&T right?   Apple, google, samsung, all cell phones with their own installment options.  No upgrade fee.  No carrier lock.  And will have all the Sam services as branded phones.
