Unite hotspot blinking orange and blue

My Unite hotspot is blinking continuously, orange blue orange blue. It’s been doing this for almost 48 hours. I think this means it’s updating firmware, but it really shouldn’t take this long. I can’t get the device to turn off. What’s going on?

Hello, @Emmaleeh. Thanks for reaching out to us with your concerns about your Unite Pro hotspot. We can help!


The blue and amber lights flashing does indicate that the device is downloading/installing software. However, as you stated, this should not take that long for the software to download to the device.


Let's try to reset your device:

On the touchscreen:
1. On the home screen, tap Settings
2. Tap About Device
3. Tap Factory Reset.
4. Tap Yes.
5. Tap Begin Reset. 
6. After the device has reset, reconnect Wi-Fi devices.


On the AT&T Unite Pro Manager homepage:
1. On the home page, click Settings on the navigation menu on the left side.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Click the Software and Reset tab.
4. Click Reset.
5. Click Begin Reset.
6. After the device has reset, reconnect Wi-Fi devices
