Data plans for Android, smartphones and iPhones are different. You would, at the very least need to have the line of service reprovisioned for Android phones.

Second, is the LG capable of working on AT&T?

If that LG was on T-Mobile, then it must be the U.S. unlocked model since there wasn't one specifically for T-Mo. Only AT&T, Sprint and Verizon got carrier models best I can tell.

It should work since it supports all the frequencies AT&T uses.

However, as Formerly says, the SIM may need to be re-provisioned with a regular cellular plan.

Yes the android works on at&t it just I got it from a friend and they used tmobile and it says that the sim is not ready so I think that the imei needs to be set right for the sim card or a new one might have to be registered to the android.

Have you contacted AT&T about having your line provision for Android?
