My phone number has been hijacked and is being used by scammers
I recently received a call from a man that said my number came up and it was a solicitation call. He hung up and redialed and connected to me. I understand there are programs that can alter the "call from" number on caller id, but do I need to be worried about it? Is it just a number scam or does this phony soliciter actually have access to my account?

It is just a number scam. They are spoofing phone numbers so that it doesn't show their real number.
I once got a call from my own number. I knew it was a scam but they didn't have access to my phone.
