LG STYLO 5 CANT MAKE AND RECEIVE CALLS

I use LG Stylo 5 & the carrier is H2O Wireless who is ATT network. Since June 14, 2022 I can't make and receive any phone calls. The settings does not show its model #, I am afraid to open the back cover to check the model # in case I can not close it. I called customer service of H2O, unfortunately none of them can help solve the issue. I don't know if I come to the right place for help, thank you.

H2O is an mvno that uses AT&T Wireless to provide Network Services. It is not owned by AT&T.

If your phone was not AT&T branded, then it cannot work on the AT&T network anymore. Your phone is a newer LG, LG stopped certifying phones to work after the 3-g shutdown because LG is no longer in the mobile phone business.

H2O uses att mobile network to do their business. My stylo 5 is tested and approved by att network from the public list. When h2o trying to add APN on my phone, it is using att. Net configuration. h2o tech support submit to att  a ticket regarding my issue June 22, 22, unfortunately no response yet. Hopefully this coming week, thank you.

Since you're with H2O, we'd advise you to continue working with them towards a resolution.

Hi , we understand how important it is to have a working cellphone device and be able to make/receive calls,we are here to help!

First, we invite you to check the list of unlocked devices compatible to our network. The LG Stylo (LM-Q720CS, L722D,LM-Q720QM1) are the only ones compatible on the AT&T Network.

When that is confirmed, we recommend trying out a few fixes that may help with troubleshooting your wireless calls:

  1. Turn your phone off and back on. This will help reset your device.
  2. Make sure your software’s up to date to get the most recent version and make sure you have the latest features and device protection options.
  3. Confirm you have wireless service to ensure you have a signal by checking our network coverage map. Please be advised that this is the AT&T Network coverage map, you may have to check with H20 Wireless for their coverage area map.
  4. Turn off call forwarding, do not disturb and airplane mode which can be located by swiping down your notification bar. These settings are known to interfere with making/receiving calls.
  5. Check that you aren’t blocking calls. When a call is blocked, it is routed directly to voicemail.

If this does not help, we recommend waiting for a response from your wireless provider (H20 Wireless) for more info on why you are unable to make/receive calls.

We hope this helps, feel free to reach back out to us if you have additional questions and thank you for posting on AT&T Community Forums!

Many phones have the required (signed) AT&T modem firmwares, but will not connect due to AT&T not setting their default provisioning features to include LTE and VoLTE for "unknown" device IMEIs. I sent an FCC complaint and was told by AT&T that this was "the system is functioning as designed".

The only workaround is buying the cheapest AT&T phone (I used an AT&T-provided 3G transition phone), registering that IMEI so it shows up in your online portal, and then swapping the SIM to the device you want. AT&T refuses to have a whitelisting process nor allow customers to specify enabled features for unknown IMEIs.
