Hello, @TxMoores. Thanks for reaching out to us about getting an AT&T account and SIM card for your Winegard Connect 2.0+. Congratulations on your new motor home, that's exciting! No worries, we can help you get pointed in the right direction for assistance.
Since AT&T no longer sells those as an unlimited data plan, you might want to look at some other options through some other known contract carriers that could provide you with an unlimited plan
Otherwise the best plan AT&T has is the 100 gig prepaid plan for $90 which you can find on the prepaid data only page
If it helps, the Winegard device uses a QUECTEL EC25-F and with my previous carrier (T-Mobile) it was simply inserting the SIM card and setting it up as a hot spot.
You haven't said what plan you have. If you have an unlimited data plan you cannot add a dedicated hotspot type device with the exception of a connected car.
The winegard is not a connected car.
So unless you kept a hold of a very large old metered plan and are willing to handle the overages, you have no options to add a dedicated hotspot device with AT&T.
Except the prepaid plan which is the least expensive or one of the post-paid plans which cost twice as much and charge overages
Wow, thanks I think.... That contradicts what the AT&T sales folks told us when we switched over from T-Mobile week before last. But then again they told me just to go online and 'they' would send me a SIM card for my device.... Perhaps if I switched my notepad over to AT&T and used that SIM card...................
