Homebase + antispam?

My brother-in-law is blind.  He uses ATT Homebase which allows him to use his large key traditional land line style phone which does meet his needs.  The Homebase then uses cellular to communicate which is transparent to him as a user.  The problem is that he gets many spam calls which we'd like to filter out and I can't figure out how to provide him such a feature using Home Base along with CallProtect or other such as NoMoRobo.

More detail:  On my personal iPhone I can set the phone to accept calls only from addresses in my address book.  This is what I have done for me personally and it blocks 99% of the spam calls.  But, if I am expecting a call, for example from a doctor whose number I don't know, but I want to get the call, I can turn off this feature for the day or so until I get the call, and then turn the feature back on.  But my blind BIL can't do this as he can't use a cell phone since he cannot see the icons.

Also, Call Protect requires that I log into the HomeBase from his wireless internet to which the HomeBase is connected.  As I am remote from him I cannot do this.  Also, I don't think CallProtect provides the iPhone equivalent of Silence Unknown Callers.

Ideally, what I would like is something like NoMoRobo or iPhone's Silence Unknown Callers features for my BIL and the ability so I could manage it remotely (for example, if there is a new entry to be added for 'allowed' phone numbers).

Any ideas or solutions for a system that use HomeBase?

Thanks.

As the Home Base is a Wireless Home Phone product, I'm going to move your post over to the Wireless side of things.  Perhaps someone over there has some suggestions, as the Internet folks don't have much to say about it.

ATT support amazingly did get in contact with me so kudos and a big thank you to Nelson, the support specialist for discussing with me the problem and then noodling about possible solutions.  My BIL cannot easily use the CallProtect features which require finding the hashtags and stars.  But, even if he does successfully block some calls, it looks like there is a limit of 20 calls which are allowed through (https://www.att.com/support/article/u-verse-voice/KM1235425) and the rest are blocked.  It would be nice to have a larger number of allowed calls.  However, the bigger issue for me in helping my BIL is that ideally I'd like to manage this whole thing for him as he is handicapped and flustered easily.  The CallProtect does not allow for remote management.  Anyone away of something that might?  Again, thanks to Nelson/ATT for at least getting back and continuing to research the challenge.
