I'm looking to get an esim for my new iphone, but when i go to the "bring your own device to existing line" section, my line is not listed. I am able to see my line on my account in other places.

Ah, yes, thank you for clarifying.

Your data plan will need to be changed from Android to iPhone anyway, so please call AT&T and have them send you a QR card, or go to an AT&T store and have them switch your plan, and help you activate the e-Sim

Unless you are adding a new line, with a new phone number why would you be buying a new ESIM for an existing phone line?

If you are, for example replacing a phone that is still under installments, or broken, or you're just tired of it and want to upgrade to something newer, you don't involve your service provider you just move your existing SIM card and service from one phone to the other.

In this case if you're moving an iPhone eSim to a new iPhone that is ESIM only, you just transfer the e-sim.  Apples instructions in the link describe how to do the switch depending on whether you have a physical or an ESIM in your existing phone.

If I have misunderstood what you're trying to do, feel free to correct my misunderstandings...

Thank you for responding. To be more clear, I cannot transfer the physical SIM because my new phone is ESIM only, and my old phone was not an iPhone. If I'm not mistaken that only leaves me with the option of getting a QR code from AT&T?

So, in trying to obtain this QR code, I have followed apple and AT&T's instructions, but when I get to the "select your line" portion of Bring Your Own Device, the line i'm attempting to add does not appear. Could this be do to the fact that this line isn't currently under contract or assigned to a particular phone?
