Data Usage of specific amount of 450MB 46 times since start of new billing cycle

I seem to be going over my 100GB wireless internet usage every month.  After looking at AT&T's logs for wireless internet usage, I found that on 46 occasions since Dec. 3, I have specific "450.0MB" usages on it, which is 21GB in and of itself!!!!  I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and if you may have found out what could be causing it.  Would be nice if AT&T would provide the TCPIP address of the device using their data.

I just had the same problem today. Over the course of 2 hours, 12 gigs of data were used up in 450mb and 150mb chunks, only on my phone, and not on anyone else’s phone on our plan. Extremely weird. Let me know if you have or even haven’t figured out why…

Supposedly it may be an Instagram bug after some more research, so maybe turn off cellular for that

Yes. It has been happening to me for 2 years now. No one can help me and we can’t figure it out. Only thing connected is a PC and nothing is being streamed. Device is an AT&T

2 of my 4 lines are showing mystery 450MB downloads multiple times in this time period. we're over our plan for the month and have already been charged a fee. The weird thing is that this is the FIRST time in over 20 years that my wife has used more than 2 gb in a given month. she NEVER goes over the plan. But this month she's showing 16GB of usage and there's about 8 of the 450GB downloads in the Usage data... and at really weird times, too like in the middle of the night when she's sleeping. Same thing is happening to my younger son except he also has a ton of 135MB downloads as well... mostly at weird times that make no sense.

I have a ticket in but im dubious anyone cares. However, if they make me eat this overage charge I'm definitely switching carriers next month.

I just had this happen to me this morning after a weekly reboot. Used about 7Gb of data before I got a usage warning and turned my mobile data off. I was connected to wifi the entire time.

I guess I am curious what small/big of the chunk size people would like to have reported on their logs?

You don't want every byte or every megabyte to have its own line item, do you?

Doesn't your device track how much it uses? A hotspot I'm assuming, due to your IP address comment?

I reset my phone at the end of my billing cycle and at the end of the next cycle I can see how much I've used.  It generally reports a few percent more than AT&T actually lists me having used.

FYI - Data reporting isn't necessarily live, it can be delayed up to 48 hours.

I downloaded an app to track exactly which apps are using data and how much. In this case the culprit turned out to be "product.lge.data.server.LgDataServiceMain" I have an LG V60thinq. I haven't had any issues since that one day though.

"my data manager" it won't catch anything from before its installed, just shows usage from time of install and after.
