Can't Unlock Device
I paid off an installment plan in-full on Sunday evening 3/26. It is now Thursday afternoon 3/31, and I continually get the same error message, stating that I'm unable to do so. There is currently no past due balance, the installment plan on the device has been paid off in its entirety, and I've had AT&T service for well over 60 days now, years, in-fact.
I'm extremely frustrated. I've talked to multiple reps via phone and chat and keep getting bounced around and told different things. Is AT&T just extremely notorious for not allowing its customers to unlock devices even after they've fulfilled all the requirements?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You have to wait until the end of the billing cycle and then wait for the unlock portal to catch up with the billing

I do not know if the billing cycle has anything to do with, I can’t verify that claim but it is common for the unlock portal to take 1-2 weeks to update after paying off a phone. Wait until next week and try again, it will probably go through.
