Hello @Hrogers22, we want to help you keep track of what uses data, and where to find your usage report.
First, we'd like to clarify what uses data, and what doesn't. Making or receiving a voice call wouldn't use your data, neither would sending nor receiving an SMS or MMS message. iMessages, FaceTime, and other video calls would be used as data and count against your usage. You can see more details about this under the When do I use wireless data? tab of our manage wireless data page.
You'll also be able to find your talk, text and data usage listed out online in your usage report, in the Billing & Usage section of your account. This way, if you're wondering if a text used data or not, you can check both the text and data reports for the usage and it's timestamp.
Please let us know if you have any other questions, and thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums.
