Preordered iPhone but I wanted to cancel it

I preordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I opened a new line, new account and new everything. I want to cancel the order now since I decided on waiting. I wasn't sent an account number or anything only an order #, which makes NO sense to me. How can I make an account if I'm not given an account number, I was only given the last 4 numbers of the account number and no other information. Only asked to confirm my email and activate the account. Didn't even ask me to make a password or anything.

I would call AT&T asap and cancel the order. Otherwise, you're gonna get charged for the phone (line and all). Do it now. Did you give AT&T a credit card or other form of payment to process? How did you order it? Online at AT&T, calling into AT&T, a store, or a kiosk like in Target, Sam's Club, etc?

I ordered through the AT&T website and gave my credit card as payment info. Do you have a number to call because the numbers I've called have not been working for me or the robo replies don't get me to the right place.

You can’t get to your order status using your order number?

If so, see if you have a cancel option.  If you don’t have the option, you’ll have call them.

It says I have to sign in to cancel which I can't even sign up with the lack of account number. :/

Then you're gonna have to call first thing Monday morning and get written confirmation that your order was canceled. And keep an eye on your credit card charges for a couple of billing cycles.
