Change email on data-only account (ipad)

Hello,

I have a post-paid account with only one active device which is a data-only Ipad, when my account was created the rep typed my email address wrong, now I am trying to add a line of service but I can't get verified because my email is wrong and my ipad can't accept text messages...

How can I update my email address ? The only option online is to send a verification text to a device that can't receive texts!

Thanks

TJ

Hey there @expohl!

You may need to visit your local AT&T Store to try to update your email address. Make sure you carry two forms of federal and/or State issued ID when you stop by.

We want to advise that when it comes to updating an email address, customer accounts must be at least 31 days old before they can make an update.

We hope this info helps. Let us know how it worked for you!

We know how important it is to have the correct contact details on your account, expohl.

When creating an account and the contact details are incorrect, it does make verifying your account difficult. If you are able to log into your myAT&T account, then you will be able to update important contact details.

Once you navigate to the available self help options, you will need to verify the new email address after it has been updated. In the email, be sure to select Verify email to complete your update.

Let us know if this helps!

Thank you,

@ATTHelp  I do not think you read my question, or understood my question, I cannot update my email via self-help because this requires a text message verification but I do not have any text capable devices on my account....
