Why is AT&T Wireless coverage so poor in the wealthiest, fastest-growing county of this state?
Service is not reliable outside of the large towns in this county which, as noted above, is the wealthiest, fastest-growing county in Louisiana. Just now I could barely be heard on two consecutive calls to my dentist, around ten miles distant, so I'll have to try again tomorrow and see if AT&T's wondrous technology can manage it. This is a common occurrence and has existed for years, on flat land with no obstructions. AT&T responded to a previous post about a similar issue elsewhere by asking customers to download a reporting app. Don't fall for that, users. AT&T already possesses quality information on every call, and always has. That app, if it still exists, is their "polite" and cheap way of brushing you off. It's just for customers to spin their wheels while AT&T persists in not investing in infrastructure, their way of doing nothing. What will it take to force AT&T to pay attention?

Hello julmer1967, we're here to help with dropping calls.
We understand the impact of losing signal or dropping calls. Many things can affect your wireless signal, some will surprise you! Learn about what can affect your wireless signal, and what you can do to improve it. There is one spot where I never get calls or text. If I move 5 feet away from that spot, boom, everything works. Sound familiar? This is known as a dead-zone and caused by the environment of your surroundings. Unfortunately dead-zones, in homes or offices, are beyond AT&T's control.
Solution:
Move away from dead-zone(s) in your home, near a window or area without electronics.
Consider using Wi-Fi Calling.
Know your surroundings.
Sign in to AT&T's outage site or enter your address to check for an outage. For outage alerts, sign in to your account and subscribe.

If you mean their "Mark the Spot" app, that was discontinued quite some time ago. You could try a BBB complaint if this is an ongoing issue. Those reports go to the corporate level. Be aware, just because you consider yourself the "wealthiest" (county, city, township, etc.), doesn't mean AT&T automatically prioritizes you over everyone else.

Juniper, county statistics are not simply a matter of my or anyone else's opinion. More snark next time.

@julmer1967
The point remains, you are not automatically prioritized over anyone else. Your county's "wealth" isn't more important than the rest of the country. You asked about an app that has been discontinued and were given an alternate suggestion.
The only "snark" would be in your reply, especially coming 7 months late. That just seems petty.
If the coverage doesn't work for you, find a provider that suits your needs.
