Why does at&t suck so much?

Your customer service absolutely (Edited per community guidelines), only Verizon's is worst. You couldn't get 4g to work properly, now you have 5g that is a complete cluster (Edited per community guidelines). 5g pretty much makes my phone useless. Places where I used to have almost perfect 4g lte signal, now I have 1 bar of worthless 5g. You act like urbanites, the scum of the earth, are the only customers that matter. These are all the reasons why I tell everyone, unless they really need a carrier with coverage to stay away from AT&T. Now you have (Edited per community guidelines)ed that up. If I hadn't just gotten 2 new phones just before 5g came out I'd be dumping your (Edited per community guidelines).

My question is: When are you going to quit (Edited per community guidelines)ing (Edited per community guidelines) up and actually make improvements?

5G is, and was, overhyped by the carriers. The towers, at least in our area, are at, or over capacity so 5G is spotty in a lot of areas. I never fell into the "gotta have 5G cause it's the best" mentality and just leave our phones on LTE and all is well. Speeds are consistent and coverage is great. At home, we use WiFi-C (WiFi Calling) because in-home coverage is inconsistent. No issues whatsoever.

Because you let them. If you want AT&T to do better, then you need to vote with your wallet.

I don't let them do anything. All of the providers have issues with 5G. I don't NEED 5G. We have very few issues with our phones or services. It would take the majority of the current AT&T cellular base to switch and that's just not gonna happen. Wish it were better but it's not.

What kind of phone do you have? We have 5G Auto, 5G Only, and LTE as options so we just choose LTE.

I was going to suggest that if you had an Android-based phone. We have iPhones. The older models automatically use LTE with no other selections available. The newer, 5G, capable iPhones offer the options. Seamless, trouble-free connections with either.

Not sure what device you have but on my Samsung I can force 4G (LTE) when I'm traveling in areas where there is terrible 5G signal but just enough to connect to automatically. Often times in that situation when I force 4G my speeds double. Luckily where I live their 5G actually works with good speeds.

AT&T, if your 5G isn't up to snuff in certain areas, PLEASE just turn it off in that area. I don't want to be connected to 30mbps 5G just for the sake of claiming the area is 5G. Especially when I can force it to 4G in the same place and get 150-200mbps. Not every customer has the know-how to force it and they shouldn't have to.
