IDP activation in the US Virgin Islands
I do not think I should be charged the IDP charge when I am in the US Virgin Islands. How do I avoid it?

My guess would be you get the notice if you connect to some other carrier.
I don’t know. It’s possible Liberty just hasn’t updated their equipment to show something different than AT&T. Are you seeing AT&T or AT&T WiFi? If you have WiFi calling activated and you are on WiFi, you should connect to WiFi calling before roaming.

ATT no longer provides service in the USVI. ATT sold their network assets to Liberty but ATT customers are allowed to roam free on Liberty. As long as you are connected to Liberty, you won’t be charged. Unfortunately, some USVI locations are very close to BVI islands, so it is possible you might connect to a BVI carrier. In that case, you would be charged for any usage.

Then why do I get the IDP notice? And why does my phone often show AT&T as my network?

Thanks. I do have Wi-Fi calling and I think usually ATT /Liberty service. We will see when I get my bill.
