Gulf of Mexico Cell Phone Coverage?
I have ATT wireless and am going fishing for a week on the Breton Sound, LA Chandeleur Islands area.
How do I determine if ATT has any coverage out there. Their maps don't show it but some earlier posts about a partnership with Tampnet.com seem to indicate there might be coverage through them. I'd like to figure this out in advance or move to Plan B if I need to. Thanks

AT&T only has service in the US

This would be considered in the U.S. as it is in state waters of Louisiana and Mississippi but it is offshore, so would probably be dependent on coverage from O&G platforms in the Gulf.

The Gulf of Mexico is a body of water that touches the "Gulf Coast States" of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. We are talking about 50-100 miles from the U.S. coast in the GULF of Mexico, not deep into Mexico the country.
