Austin TX Cell Service Problems Dec 2020

My service is usually very good here in Austin, excluding new construction at The Domain which seems to have bad service across the board for most providers.

This last week service has been extremely spotty. It started Late November and hasn't improved. My calls cut out and I cant even play Spotify without it continuously skipping. My roommate who also has At&T is experiencing this also. Wondering if it's some extreme coincidence we're experiencing the same problems or if it's something connected to maybe the city implementing 5G. I have a S10+ and my roommate has the S10e so our phones aren't dinosaurs or anything. Anyone have news as to why this might be happening?

  • Can you provide the zipcode in which you were experiencing these issues? 
  • Have you tried to power off/on your phone? 
  • Are you aware about Wi-Fi calling? It allows you to talk and text anywhere while using Wi-Fi?
