Unpaid balance

I am on a prepaid plan of $30 a month.  Where did the $115 balance come from?

If you are seeing a balance in your AT&T prepaid account it is not the amount due, it is the amount of excess you have paid into your account. Prepaid doesn't have a bill, it has a refill. If you have paid excess over the past few months than the excess sits in your account and is used to pay for service.

You should not add any money next 2 times refill is due.  The $30 will be drawn from your balance

I have a similar question. I have a balance on my prepaid account, and I'm letting the $30 come out of the balance each month. However, I noticed that there is an expiration date on that balance. How do I avoid losing the money that I have prepaid?

@CLM2022

You will need to add more money to the balance before the expiration date. If the balance expires, you lose it.

@CLM2022 Adding money to the balance extends the expiration date per those rules:

$10-$24 extends the expiration date 30 days

$25-$99 extends the expiration date 90 days

$100 or higher extends the expiration date one year

Ok, thank you. I could not find that information. I remembered something like that, but could not find it for verification. Also, the payment due date and the balance expiration date were two different dates, which is confusing. Thank you for your help.
