Retaining phone number following overseas military tour
I'm an active duty soldier and I'm currently a go-phone customer. I'm going to be stationed in South Korea from July 2017 to July 2018 and I would like to know what I can do to keep my cellphone number so that I can reactivate it when I return?

Thank you for your service and I wish you a safe return home! We can definitely work together on your concern with keeping your number while you are gone.
Unfortunately prepaid accounts do not offer reduced rate suspension or military suspension/cancelation. Prepaid service expires in 30 days if your account is not refilled and after 60 days, the SIM card is deactivated and your number will be recycled.
If you want to keep your phone number you can opt for putting funds to keep your line active and reduce your plan to the 25 cent per minute or $2 day plan which will not incur any usage if your phone is off or SIM card removed. Learn how to manage your balance, or choose a plan here.
I hope this alternative helps! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
