question about the prepaid plan payment
I have an ATT prepaid plan and the next due date is Aug 9. I am going to leave the US on Aug 12 and I may not need the service after that. Can I only pay for the part that I am going to use instead of the whole bill cycle?

No. If you renew your plan, you pay for the full 30 days. What you can do is switch to a pay per use plan before your current plan renews and refill your account with enough to last you until you leave. The $2/day plan would probably work best.
