Move from prepaid to postpaid line on husband’s FirstNet Family acct

Hello,

I have a prepaid ATT account. My current phone is done, time to get a new one but I need to keep the #. Ideally would like to switch to a postpaid line on my husbands FirstNet Family acct, and buy a iPhone 12 or 13 mini with installments.

How can I accomplish this? The att rep in my local store said not possible unless I wait 3mo and by that time the FirstNet family promotion may be expired.

The only way to switch between prepaid and postpaid and keep the number, is at an AT&T store. Find a different store. Whoever you're dealing with just isn't thirsty enough for the sale.

Like our ACE said, please be sure to visit an AT&T Corporate store and not an AT&T authorized retailer since the authorized retailer will be unable to perform the request.
