Looking for A way to block calls and texts from all non approved numbers.

As I said above. I wish to block any incoming calls and texts from all non approved numbers. I want only numbers plugged onto the contacts of the phone to be able to reach the phone. My gosl is no spam calls, or wrong numbers, or strangers who come across the numbers and call/text with nefarious purposes. No strangers calling at all. Is there a way to block this?

The phone is a Samsung galaxy Ao3s

That depends on what phone you have. For example, an iPhone can be set to do not disturb where only calls from contacts get through.

Thanks for reaching out to us @AmberH112, we are more than happy to assist you with blocking unwanted calls and text on your Samsung AO3s.

Unwanted calls and texts are annoying, and some could be fraudulent or illegal. Report offenders that slip through and help block them! AT&T ActiveArmor works 24/7 to help stop threats and spam texts before they get to you.

Also, you can learn how to block unwanted calls and text messages using your wireless phone and apps

To find out if your phone has a built-in feature to block calls and text messages:
   1. Go to Device Support and select your phone.
   2. Go to the search box at the beginning of the page and search by typing block.
   3. Select the article from the search results. If you don’t see steps to take for your phone, contact  the company that made your device for more help.

We hope this information helps and thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums.

Has suggested by sandblaster, go to settings, type in do not disturb into the search space at the top. Then select the Do Not disturb option. Then turn on do not disturb. Then scroll down to where it says exceptions. One of the options is "contacts".

I have a different model Samsung but it should look something like this...
