Impossible to CANCEL prepaid from overseas!
I have been trying for 3 months to cancel my prepaid auto billing and nothing works!
1. PIN won't come through as I am in Australia when trying to set up online account.
2. Number given to call AT&T in USA for prepaid on this forum has been disconeccted.
3. Last 4 digits on phone number DO NOT work as a default PIN when setting trying to set up an online account.
4. Tried the "chat" option and the lady from AT&T could not help me as it was a Pre-Paid account.
Seriously, do I have mail my phone back to my family in the USA for them to the cancel???????????????

Your best bet is to have your bank / credit card company decline the charges and do a charge back on the charges for services not received. This would be easier than to send the phone back to the US. Once payment is not collected, the services will stop.
The 4 digit pin reset only goes to the phone but will not work outside of North America.

The only option is to cancel and re-issue the credit card which is allot of work resetting all your other direct debits.
The "charge back" is an American thing.
How many millions is AT&T raking in on this racket??????

Even if you could receive a new pin, it likely would not work. There is some security protocol in place that prevents logging into a prepaid account from outside the US. If you can’t or won’t cancel your credit card, your only option to disable autopay is to call. If you choose to call, the following info is from customer support:
Customers in these situations need to call one of two numbers:
Outside of the U.S. - 1-314-925-6925 - The agent can call them back at their number so they don't rack up big toll charges.
Inside the U.S. - 1-800-901-9878
English and Spanish spoken. It's possible - depending on the agent they reach - they may be transferred within the company.
