How to use an AT&T prepaid phone device with a SIM card that had the wireless account canceled?

I have an AT&T prepaid phone device with a SIM card and I had the $30/month plan. I used it for one month but haven't for 7 months. So, my wireless account was closed.

I still have the device with the SIM card and I'd like to be able to use it again. How do I do that? Can I just buy a new plan? Would that come with a phone number? Or do I need a new SIM card? And if so, does that come with a phone number? And then I'd buy a plan?

You'll have to buy a new SIM card and then you can select a new plan. You're old SIM card is deactivated cannot be reactivated.

And does the New phone number come with the New SIM card or with the plan?

Yes.  Just like the original sim.  A number is assigned during set up
