Compromised Phone Number

I use my PC's Identity Theft monitoring software and it  found a data breach in the dark web. My phone number was compromised and would like to know how I can contact AT&T to be aware of this issue.

Hello, @axeljgomez! Thank you for letting us know your number was part of a security breach. Keeping your information safe is our #1 priority.

We recommend if your phone number was part of a data breach, change your passwords and security questions for all affected accounts. Use a password manager to create strong, unique passwords for all of your online accounts. Enable two-factor authentification (2FA) on all accounts that offer it.

Also, if you notice any suspicious activity on your AT&T account, please contact the fraud department.

We hope this information is helpful, and please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!

There is no reason to contact ATT, there is nothing they can or will do. Your number being found on the dark web could have come from many different sources. That does not mean the data breach was from or through ATT.
