How do family members get access to HBOMax?

He needs to use the same login information as you. Everyone on the wireless plan uses the same HBOMax account.

He has tried that and gets an error every time he tries to get in.

In order for us to provide adequate support, we just need a little more information:

• What kind of error message does your son receive when he tries to sign in to use HBO Max? There are solutions for common errors. Not only are customers required to sign up on an eligible wireless/internet plan and have an AT&T Access ID registered to the account that has the eligible plan, but if you haven't already, you will need to redeem/register your HBO Max benefit.
  1. Download and open the HBO Max app. Then tap the person icon (or try to play a show or movie.)
  2. Tap Sign In and then tap Sign in through TV or mobile provider.
  3. Have an Apple iPhone or iPad and get free HBO Max access because of your TV service with AT&T? Tap Allow. Otherwise, tap Don’t Allow.
  4. Choose AT&T and enter the AT&T user ID and password. 
  5. Select Sign in. You should see HBO Max load on your device screen. If it’s your first time signing in, create your HBO Max profile. It may take up to one minute.
  6. Choose your watcher’s profile to start streaming.
