HBO Max to Max
Now that Warner Bros. Discovery has announced Max, for those AT&T subscribers who still have a free HBO Max subscription, will AT&T continue with their promotion for Max?

Great question @mmalcangio , we want to make sure you retain your service and we will be happy to address your concern!
Customers with a qualifying, grandfathered wireless plan can keep their free Max (HBO Max) benefit.
Reminder: Only the following plans need to select the Activate Max tile. The other plans/speed tiers would not see an activation tile, and can simply login using their existing credentials:
Customers on the Elite plans and the 1/2/5GB broad band plans (prior to the offer sunset on 6/6/22) should see the “start streaming” tile. If you do not see that tile, we would have to troubleshoot why.
Note: Max (HBO Max) has no longer been offered to new customers since June 6, 2022. If you move your service or change your plan, you will no longer have Max (HBO Max) benefit.
Please let us know if this helps!

Have not been able to sign into my HBO max account through AT&T in about a month. Says can’t verify subscription. Spoke to customer service and they said it would take 24 hours and someone would reach out and they never did. Really disappointed in the service I have received.

@ATTHelp If you don't move your service or change your plan, will your AT&T log-in continue to work with Max? And if so, at what tier?

I would like to know what tier will the free HBO Max subscribers that is included with their internet too. They have one with advertisement and one without that is a very important key element that your subscribers need to know.

Good afternoon @LilDmomma , it's important to us that you have all the info regarding free HBO Max and we're here to help!
It is the ad-free version which is provided at no additional cost for all customers with a qualifying DIRECTV or DIRECTV via internet plan.
If a customer subscribing to HBO Max on AT&T video platforms wants the $9.99 ad supported version at the lower price, they will need to downgrade HBO Max from DIRECTV, U-verse or DIRECTV via internet and subscribe to the HBO Max with ads through hbomax.com.
Was this helpful? Please let us know if we can answer any more questions!

Thank you @ATTHelp - I am in a similar boat to @LilDmomma. I have HBO Max via my AT&T subscription from an earlier bundle.
It sounds like the ad-free version is what it will convert to with Max. If you want the premium tier they added, then you'll need to update your AT&T plan to one of the new ones that don't include HBO, and then you can subscribe directly to the service via Max (or some other path).

Thank you for that information, @LilDmomma!
When it comes to receiving HBO Max with our service, when it comes to the internet potion, it is no longer being offered free with any of the plans. However, if you did sign up prior to the discontinuation, you will continue to receive the HBO Max unless you change the plan. Any plan changes will remove access to the feature.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

no one has asked if we can keep our current no-ads plan and claw back the 4k they are now charging for which used to be included. it sounds like you are saying that if we try to pay for the 4k we'll lose our no-ads plan and end up having to pay full price. it doesn't sound good at all. tks, /guy
