(Solved) "It looks like your AT&T subscription does not include HBO Max" after getting text saying I have it.
So over the weekend, I got a text from AT&T that says the following...
"AT&T FREE MSG: Great news! Your AT&T unlimited plan gives you access to HBO Max(TM) at no additional charge. To start streaming: Download the app here: att.com/download4iphone1. Open the app and click Already Subscribed? Sign in. Then click "Sign in through your provider" and use the same login used for HBO(R)."
When I follow the directions, both the HBO Max app and the HBO Max website give me the following error.
"It looks like your AT&T subscription does not include HBO Max. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact your provider."
What exactly is the issue here? I have tried numerous times over the weekend to gain access to this service that I was told I have.

I have directv premium package for 21 years now and can't sign in using directv as provider because it wants me to log in using at&t name and password which i have never had. I pay my bill and log in at directv.com ... update : was using the wrong password when signing into hbomax with my directv account. watching it now. Works perfect.
