HBOMax conversion to MAX
Still trying to find out if we are keeping 4K/ATmos streaming on out AT&T/MAX accounts?
Since there are now 3 tiers of MAX
Ad-supported
Ad-Free (1080P)
Ultimate (4K/Atmos)
When i log in to my MAX account, it shows (AD-Free)

I thought the subscription would be the 4k tier, not the Ad-Free tier

We're here to assist you with information about the new MAX plan geomealer.
Our cx that has free HBO Max only get the Ad- Free plan. In order to receive the new MAX plan you would have to subscribe to the plan and pay $15.99 for the Ultimate Ad Free Plan.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi, @maxSucks. We understand how important it is to have the correct access.
Let's move to DM so that we can get the additional information we'll need to help you with this. Please check your Direct Message Inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Forums). We'll be awaiting your response.

I too would like to know how we get the 4K streaming access that we had yesterday. If we now need to pay full price for the 4K streaming access, then that’s one less incentive to stay with AT&T and may end up being the deciding factor to go elsewhere.

This is very confusing. Are we or are we not getting the ‘ultimate-ad free’ tier? The tier we were in when it was HBO Max is basically the ‘ultimate-ad free’ of MAX.
can we get some kind of confirmations please? Thank you

@ATTHelp multiple representatives states we would have access to 4k content in this thread. Yesterday, we had the highest tier of HBO Max that allowed us to watch in 4k. Today, we have been downgraded to the mid tier that no longer allows 4k, and now you are telling us to just buy it yourself if you want what you had yesterday.
Just want to confirm this is where we are at so I can let everyone who used to enjoy this benefit know where we stand.

On other forums other AT&T subscribers with ROKU and FireTV streaming boxes claim they DO have access to the 4k and Dolby Vision content.
All Apple TV4k users seem not to be able to get it

So, my account also displays "ad-free", but I just started "Shazam: Fury of the Gods" and I did get 4K / Atmos on my TV (Via Fire Cube)

@vila2k I have three ATV4k's and all downloaded the new Max app just fine with all of my settings. However, I have the standalone app, not bundled with any AT&T service, and 4k HDR is just fine. Me thinks the bundled folks are gonna get scr**** until AT&T gets its act together.
