HBO MAX free through unlimited plan but linked to wrong account

I was logged into a friend's HBO max account and accidentally linked my ATT to that HBO account when in reality I was trying to make my own HBO account to link my att to. I just want to unlink my att from my friend and be able to link it to my own.

We're here to assist you with unlinking your account from your friend's account, nvann.

To remove a linked account from your user ID:

Go to your myAT&T Profile. Sign in, if asked.
Scroll to My Linked accounts.
Choose Remove this account for the account you want to unlink. If you try to remove a canceled account with a balance due, we’ll ask you to make a payment.
Select one of these, if asked:

A secondary user to replace you as the primary user
No one

Choose a new primary contact account, if asked.
Follow the directions to remove the account from your ID.

It is not listed under my linked account for some reason, why might this be?
