Selling House With Digital Life

I am selling my house with Digital Life and canceling the service.

1. Should I unplug the Controller and Chime Sensors?

2. Will the keyless entry for the front door work after the WiFi is shut off? If it does not work, how would I or the new owner be able to lock the door from the outside if there is no actual key slot?

@mshankel

Good morning,

1. Should I unplug the Controller and Chime Sensors?

  • Yes but please do not disconnect any of your Digital Life equipment until your service has actually been cancelled and you are no longer monitored. Disconnecting prior to cancellation may result in a false alarm.

2. Will the keyless entry for the front door work after the WiFi is shut off? If it does not work, how would I or the new owner be able to lock the door from the outside if there is no actual key slot?

  • You will not be able to remotely lock or unlock the door lock.
  • Your keyless entry will continue to work but you must provide the new owner with the access code to enter into the door lock.
  • The best way is to provide the new owner with your master code which will allow them to reset the door lock and create their own codes for entry.
  • If your lock has a key hole then it would have come with two metal keys. If there is no key hole on your lock, there are no metal keys and using a code is the only way to lock or unlock the device.

I hope this answered your questions.
