Once service is cancelled all addons cease. No doorbell no thermostat no cameras no sensors.

That was not a constructive answer.  Figures coming from an ATT employee.  I already know they don't work and the source but no one can tell me how to remedy it.  When I rented, no one told me of the illegal stranglehold ATT and the owners had.  Look around the internet and you can see the how and why ATT and landlords abuse tenants.

If anyone else has had the experience and can help me resolve it, please post or contact me.  my guess it that the modules in the door lock can be removed or tied to another service.

If you are in a rental, I would think that you should take this up with the landlord or management company.

If you search, I think you can find a way to repurpose the lock modules, but you'd have to have another system to hook it to.  I don't think that's true of the thermostat; replace it with something else.  There are often rebates to be had from the power company for buying a smart thermostat, especially if you give them load control access.

I have taken it up with management and amazingly, know one knows how to deal with it.  Place was sold recently to a larger company and still no one knows.

The lock is made by Yale.  There are add on modules that allow everything from stand alone access to full internet access, wifi access which landlords can use to lock you out if you don't pay rent and also they can enter (illegally).  Already happened once to another renter.

look at installation here:  https://shopyalehome.com/collections/smart-locks/products/yale-assure-lock-sl-with-wi-fi-and-bluetooth?variant=39341912981636

The thermostats can be operated locally but no longer allow for remote adjustments using Digital Life.
